April!!! Really...
Sorry for the lack of posting guys... I feel like whenever I come here, that's all I say.
I'm trying to squeeze blogging in, but have just been reading others lately, not too focused on my own.
I just made some colour changes to my blog which I'm pretty happy with. Maybe this will inspire me to write more.
I want to try and get here more so I can document things, not just do an overall post of stuff.
So I had my DEXA Scan Mid March, which was so informative. The scan shows how much fat and muscle is on each part of my body, and I then had the consult with Jarrod at Body Compositon . Jarrod discussed nutrition with me, and spoke of me not going under 1500-1650 calories per day, otherwise my body is in starvation mode. He said if i stuck to 1200, i would lose weight, but then plateau, and probably gain. Cue light bulb moment!
He advised me to eat 1600 calorie per day (not being too strict, as some will be less, some more) and burn 1800 calories per week in training. When i saw him, I had just signed up to do boot camp x 2 per week, and x 3 Couch to 5k runs.
I have since cancelled boot camp, due to Master8's soccer on sat morning (too hard to do boot camp before, and wouldn't make it some days) and the weather. Yeah... i know... But i am just not once to do boot camp in the mud and rain. I know that, so to me there is no point paying for it and pretending I'll go, when i won't.I will sign up again in July August, once the weather has improved.
I have also battled tonsillitis twice in the past 5-6 weeks. This has meant feeling like utter crap, being diagnosed with low iron, and now having my daily intake of tablets be 2x multivitamin, 1x iron, 2 x vitamin C. I have a senior citizen pill pox! I am on the mend, however at the moment (TMI coming up..) I have my period and thrush from the antibiotics, as well as today, a headache I can't shake( trying to hydrate and get rid of it) What a barrel of laughs!
Anyway I'm off to do some cleaning, drinks some water, write some work reports and go for a run! Busy but hopefully productive day ahead.
Happy Easter everyone

March!
Hi....
Yep it's been a while between posts, but life has just been happening.
I suppose I haven't felt there's much worth blogging about but I think i need to get over thinking i need to have huge long posts all the time, they can be short (note to self1)
So March has arrived. I have officially decided that March will be the "Month for me" and will include the following things
- Ordering some of the exxy skincare off Ebay which I know works for me. This aveeno stuff from Coles really isn't cutting it (Done)
- Having a Facial specialised with the above products to give me a head start. I have really red cheeks and uneven skin tone and have found Pevonia RS2 products amazing for my skin and the facial- my skin looked like there was no sun damage at all on them after the last time I had it (Booked for 12 March)
- Getting my nails done. I'm a biter and love the look of acrylic nails especially when they are done right. I find i wear more jewellery when i have nice nails instead of bitten stubs. This is something I always want to get done and maintain but hate the $ and feel like it's a waste. Attitude has changed on this, have decided just to do it and that if it makes me feel good, it's worth the money.
- Hair- just getting done like normal every 10 weeks but it's this month, but excited as I have manky re growth..
- TIme off work - work has been manic, and although I had 3 days off last week due to tonsillitis, I feel run down and have added 2 days off to a Friday Public Holiday so yay to a 5 day weekend. I'll probably end up doing stuff around the house but at least its down time
- Vitamins - diagnosis of tonsilitis also meant I was diagnosed with low Iron. I have started taking a B Multivitamin and Iron Tablets and Vitamin C... Hopefully I'll feel the difference soon.
- Body Composition Scan - i have always wanted to do this, so I could see where I'm at, and compare with later scans. I have decided to bite the bullet and head to Sydney on the public holiday (it's a show day specific for our suburb) and have a scan done.
- Eating and WW - yep another round of WW. I decided only to do this due to the new Pro Points System. I still seem to be up and down, but am getting there slowly in relation hunger signals and not eating too much after dinner. I feel crap about doing another program but will start doing weekly weigh ins and wrap ups as of this weekend... But i am loving the effect of eating more fruit and vegetables.
So that's pretty much it. I'm off to walk to the local chemist, even walking at the moment is a energy zapper and I'm hoping to head back to the gym this weekend.

Grateful
Today,I'm grateful for Sunday with my family. Today's fun included going to a Christening of a friends beautiful bubba girl, nearly finishing Christmas shopping, watching a favorite tv show whilst eating Christmas shortbread and snuggling with my lovely husband, and now getting ready for Husb's work Christmas party- a busy but perfect day !

It Occurred To Me
Today, on my mental health day,and while reflecting, it occurred to me that as much as I feel like I'm in a rut, life could be a whole lot worse.
I feel I need some focus on the excellent things in my life, and there are many,so will be posting my daily photo/topic of what I am grateful for.
I also need to show the ones I love how much they mean to me; this has been lacking a little lately.

2011 Is Near
Hi Everyone... Yeah I'm back.
Sorry for the missing in action, I suppose i got a bit over myself and blogging.
Today I'm having a mental health day, I'm a bit sad due to some personal reasons, and think that being tired is making me feel generally blah today. So i took the opportunity to makeover my blog. You will probably notice that I have deleted my posts, I re read some, and they seem to all say the same thing. Today isn't about making big promises that I will get to goal by this date etc, I am just going to blog the process, and have a weekly weigh in.
I have some new followers via twitter, so hopefully that means some new readers of my blog, also a reason to update, and make my blog a bit more me.
So what's been happening with me;
- The court case regarding SS (Step Son, 8yrs) is finally over. Basically we have papers now with our access, these cost about $8k without going to court. I'm trying not to be bitter about the amount of money they cost, for confirming what we already have, but it's hard. It's alot of money! Anyway, the stress is off us, we settled out of court which is great for everyone, mainly SS.
- Husb and I are going well, this time of year is a bit manic, and I feel as though we are a bit distant with each other, but think we just need to factor in some quality time for us.
- Work is over for me for 2010 in 10 working days. So much to do, so little time!
- I have taken on a second job a few nights per week to earn some extra cash, this is leaving me very tired! It's 8-midnight, so factoring in the 6.15am gym classes is not happening 5 days per week like it was. I'm doing every second day at early class and C25K the alternate days. I figure at least it hasn't gone out the window completely, so that it good.
- I recently did Michelle Bridges 12 week Body Transformation and lost close to 4kg. I learn some new skills, but didn't go as hard as i could, especially in the food department. I have learnt that I don't need to do personal training or get some swanky gym programme, i need to sort out the food! I am happy that I have done this, and will have the information so that I can continue, in conjunction with the CrunchTime book. My attitude has changed a little, in that I didn't just say "oh well that's done, lets go back to old habits", I am still calorie counting but need to commit to this more rigorously. I did things on this programme i never thought i could, such as a mini triathlon at the gym (3km row, 25km bike ride and 4 km walk/jog) I was in pain that night and next day (read; shuffled instead of walking :) but was ecstatic i did it!
- Because i am a stationary nerd, I needed to share with you my FANTASTIC 2011 diary! I have been searching for something like this forever.... If you want something for a day planner, to do list, exercise and meal planning... Head over to http://www.oti.net.au/ and check out the organisers.... So so great!
